Sharon Banks is a multifaceted individual with a rich and diverse background. In 1989, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon, showcasing her commitment to education. Notably, she dedicated 26 years to the Oregon Army National Guard, attaining the distinguished rank of Lt. Colonel. Currently, Sharon serves as an officer in her local American Legion chapter, continuing her dedication to community service.
Her professional journey includes a significant stint in environmental finance, where she actively advocated for programs aimed at curbing greenhouse gas emissions. Above her career, Sharon is deeply ingrained in her local community of Brownsville, Oregon. Here, she selflessly dedicates her time to tutoring high school students facing academic challenges and mentoring the youth, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those she interacts with.

Following her retirement, she resides on a tree farm alongside her husband, Woody, and her cherished dog, Eva.
